Showcasing AI-Based Projects, Pertamina and Isuzu Astra Indonesia Win ASEAN Enterprise Innovation Award 2024

The annual ASEAN Innovation Business Platform (AIBP) Enterprise Innovation Awards received 113 nominations from public organizations and private companies across Southeast Asia. Of these, 56 projects were selected as finalists.

Since 2017, the event aims to recognize Southeast Asia-based organizations that have initiated projects to digitally transform their businesses through the application of innovative technologies.

Notably, over 40% of the nominations involved some aspect of artificial intelligence (AI) or machine learning (ML) technology. Many organizations in Southeast Asia, especially consumer-facing businesses, are exploring the use of AI/ML. The recent rise of generative AI has also opened up a series of questions about the benefits of this technology.

Pertamina and Isuzu Astra Motors Indonesia were each the winners from Indonesia for the Data and AI category and the Open category, and received their awards at the AIBP Conference and Exhibition held on August 6-7, at the Ritz Carlton, Mega Kuningan.

Supported by the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs and the Ministry of Communication & Informatics (KOMINFO), the event highlights Indonesia’s digital progress, while addressing the challenges faced by local companies and public service organizations in adopting digital transformation.
