Pertamina's Data and AI-Based Platform Prevents Fraud of 3.5 Million Litres of Subsidised Fuel

PT Pertamina 's Innovation Platform supported by big data analytics and AI has processed around 15 million fuel transactions every day using special rules and AI techniques such as news sentiment analysis to detect anomalies.

SVP Integrated Enterprise Data and Command Center, Pertamina , Sigit Pratopo said, this platform is able to prevent around 3.5 million liters of subsidized fuel fraud every day.

The use of this platform led Pertamina to win the annual ASEAN Innovation Business Platform (AIBP) Enterprise Innovation Awards which took place in Jakarta recently.

Not only that, said Yusak, this platform's data capabilities and AI innovation also optimize the performance of solar panels and upstream oil well operations.
